National building/civils company requires the services of two QA Officers, one junior, the other more senior, who have the relevant tertiary qualifications (ND or other) & specific detailed knowledge of ISO9001; 2008 series with all the attendant skills, for their office in Cape Town. These will be permanent positions after the successful completion of the required 3 month probationary period. Remuneration packages range from R130k to R170k pa, neg., including all normal big company benefits.

SENIOR CONTRACTS MANAGER: NIGERIA (R700k pa)

A large South African Construction Company, with operations in Africa, requires the services of a senior Site Manager / Contracts Manager for large Commercial & Housing projects in Nigeria.

Requirements:

  • Manager who has a relevant Degree or Diploma,
  • 15 to 20 years experience in handling large multi-disciplinary building construction contracts,
  • Background of a similar type & size of Company.
  • Developed, broad, programming skills would be a distinct recommendation.
  • Be hands-on, be flexible in character & have excellent communication & people skills.

SENIOR QS / ESTIMATOR:NIGERIA (R700k pa)

The same Company as above also requires the services of an experienced Quantity Surveyor, who has managed the financial aspects of large Commercial & Housing building undertakings in a large, reputable Construction Company.

Requirements:

  • A recognised University Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
  • A minimum of 10 years Quantity Surveying experience is mandatory,
  • A minimum of 5 years Estimating experience for Building Contracts,
  • A minimum 3 years as a Senior Estimator on substantial building contracts is required.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with significant Senior Estimating experience & who are prepared to operate “hands on”.

This is preferably a single status posting, but a married posting could be considered for the ideal candidate.

PROJECT PLANNING ENGINEER: TRIPOLI, LIBYA. (R750k pa)

This is another position for the same Company (as above).

Reporting to the Project Manager, he will be tasked with preparing and maintaining the project's program of works for major construction projects.

Qualifications and Experience:

Applicants must be graduates of a reputable university in Civil / Mechanical Engineering,
with at least 5-10 years previous similar experience in construction.
They must have a good understanding of the construction process, and experience in large building and civil engineering / oil and gas projects, preferably in the Middle East.
Excellent knowledge of the Primavera Project Planner P5 version
and an excellent ability to produce and maintain detailed programmes of work of 500-5000 activities are essential.
Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.

A leading National Building/Civils Company requires the services of a top class Manager to take their business to the next level. This is a newly created position due to succession planning.

If you have the necessary ambition to progress to the top in a large, dynamic company & have the relevant qualifications & big company experience, then this would be an ideal opportunity.

Basic Requirements:

  • BSc Construction, BEng, NHD, or BTech;
  • 12 to 15 years post grad construction experience;

  • Regular travel between major centres in SA;

CONTRACTS MANAGER: Gauteng(R600k pa)

For the same Company as above, we are looking for a multi-tasking, well experienced Contracts Manager in Roads & Township development, with the ability to secure & execute additional infrastructure / housing developments in the region of R200 million pa.

Basic Requirements:

  • BSc, BEng, BTech Civil Engineering;
  • 12 to 15 years post grad experience;
  • Roads (National) &/or Township infrastructure experience (including bulk earthworks, geometric layout, water reticulation, storm water drainage, etc, ideally with parking design);
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years management experience – 4 to 8 teams + sub-cntractors;
  • All Engineering duties, including planning, design & overseeing construction of structures & facilities on site;
  • Provide technical advice on design, construction, program modifications & repairs to Professional team;
  • Team player with good communication & people skills;
  • Ability to rise to Executive leadership positon.

Excellent remuneration package in line with seniority of the postion.
